You can configure the maximum transmission unit (MTU) and maximum receive unit for Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) subscribers. This acts as "black hole router" on some paths: if we use "ping -f -l NNN from any host on the server LAN to a VPN client (i.e. via the RRAS server) , then for NNN<=1352 we get a normal ping response, and for NNN>=1373 we get "Packet needs to be fragmented but DF set.", but for 1353<=NNN<=1372 we get no response. IPv6 WireGuard over PPPoE, parent interface MTU is 1500 We setup a WireGuard connection using IPv6 addressing over PPPoE. The UDP header is already included in the calculator, so we only have to add PPPoE (8 bytes), IPv6 (40 bytes), and of course WireGuard (40 bytes). The tunnel MTU becomes 1412 (1500 - 8 - 40 - 40).
